Natsuko Takashima

Violin

Japanese-American violinist Natsuko Takashima is a passionate chamber and orchestral musician praised for her distinguished playing and graceful leadership. She currently freelances out of Boston, MA with ensembles such as the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Classical Music Institute, Palaver Strings, and Colorado Music Festival.

Most recently she served as Interim Principal Second Violin of the Louisville Orchestra. Prior to that, Natsuko was a Fellow at the New World Symphony (NWS) where she regularly led as Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin. She was also selected to represent NWS for two consecutive years as a violinist in the quartet-in-residence at the Sitka Music Festival.

Natsuko holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Juilliard School and a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan for violin performance. In addition to performing, Natsuko is a passionate non-profit performing arts administrator, committed to supporting the future of classical music. She currently works as the Development Associate for the Handel and Haydn Society.
